Found this little diversion through StumbleUpon the other day:
I Write Like
If you paste text in there, it tells you which famous author you write like. I tend to think it's BS; I pasted the first part of my novel in there and it said "William Shakespeare." I pasted a blog entry and it said "H.P. Lovecraft." I pasted some of my PhD dissertation and it said "Margaret Atwood." And I pasted the text of an education speech by Mitt Romney and it said "Cory Doctorow."
I guess what that proves is that there are multiple authors whose works are searched as part of the algorithm. But my novel is pretty far from William Shakespeare-style. Post in the comments if you try it out and get something interesting.
